In a game so often decided by a single run, finding a way to spark a rally can be the difference between a win and a loss. That’s why we wanted to provide your softball players with a full arsenal of the catchiest fastpitch softball chants in the game. They are repetitive, silly, and will likely be stuck in your head while you lay awake at night. Oftentimes when you are out at a complex you’ll notice fans joining in the chorus, which only amplifies the reason we all play the game --- it’s fun!

So instead of trying to understand what other fast-talking teams might be chanting, we thought we’d provide all of the most popular softball cheers directly for you here. We hope you enjoy the read!

What are some catchy fastpitch softball chants?

At JustGloves we’ve got you covered with all the most popular softball chants in the game such as, “Do-waa-diddy-diddy-dum-diddy-do” and “There was a little froggy sitting on a log…” Proceed with caution though because these softball cheers will get stuck in your head.

There she goes just a-walkin' down the line,

Singin’ do-waa-diddy-diddy-dum-diddy-do.

Pointing her finger and laughin’ at you,

Singin’ do-waa-diddy-diddy-dum-diddy-do.

Ball two, ball three, ball four,

C’mon pitcher walk some more.

Do-waa-diddy-diddy-dum-diddy-do,

Next batter up says “Walk Me Too!!!”

There was a little froggy sitting on a log,

He was cheering for the other team and had no sense at all,

The batter hit a foul ball and hit him on the head

And when he got back up again this is what he said,

He said go, go, go, go you mighty ____

Fight, fight, fight, fight you mighty ____

Win, win, win, win you mighty ____

Go, fight, win, and be the champions.

What are easy softball cheers for younger players?

We recommend that younger players focus on shorter, more repetitive cheers to keep things simple. Some of the best softball chants for younger players are listed below.

Hit the ball

Up the middle

Hit the ball up the middle make the middle work a little

What are some softball cheers to get the whole team involved?

If you are looking for full-team participation you often want to incorporate an echo system where a leader (or a couple of players) yell the first portion loudly while the rest of the team repeats in back. Some of the best examples of such can be seen below.

...I love you

You stole two

...You stole two

Golly gee

...Golly gee

Now steal three

...Now steal three

Just one more

...Just one more

Then we’ll score

...Then we’ll score

Slide on it

....Slide on it

Then we’ll win

...Then we’ll win!

Sound‐off!

Three! Four!

Bring it all down now

One, two, three, four!

---

She may be short

She may be small

We stole on you

While you were picking your nose

We were up on our toes and we stole on you

While you were brushing your hair

We were already there and we stole on you

Where the bullfrogs jump from bank to banky,

With a hip, hop, hippity, hop,

Leap off a lily pad and go KERPLOP!

Took a little walk

Met up with the other team

Had a little talk

Pushed ’em in the river

Hung ’em out to dry

We can beat the other team
